Information you give us
We only receive personal information through this website when you choose to send it to us.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), a subject (optional) and your message.
- Quote request: your name, email address and phone number, your company name (optional), the service you need, the type of property, the project address or city, your estimated budget, when you would like to start and a description of the project.
- Job application: your name, email address and phone number, the position you are applying for, your years of experience, anything you write about yourself and your resume, if you upload one.
Please do not send us sensitive information through these forms, such as Social Security numbers, bank details or health information.
Information collected automatically
- IP address with forms: when you send a form, we save your IP address with it. We use it to block spam and to limit how many messages can be sent from one address in a short time.
- Staff sign-in attempts: when someone tries to sign in to the staff area of this website, we record the IP address and the email address entered, so we can block repeated failed attempts.
- Server logs: the services that deliver this website (our hosting provider and Cloudflare) record basic details of each visit: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, the type of browser and device your browser reports, and the page that linked you to us. These logs are used to keep the website running and secure.
- Cookies: most pages set no cookies. The pages with a form set one cookie. See the Cookies section for details.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions and messages.
- To prepare estimates and quotes, arrange site visits and talk with you about your project.
- To review job applications and contact applicants.
- To run this website, keep it secure and protect it from spam and abuse.
- To keep records the law requires, for example tax records if you become a customer, and to deal with legal claims.
How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not give it to anyone for their own marketing. We share it only in the cases below.
- Our hosting provider stores this website, its database and uploaded resumes on its servers.
- Cloudflare sits between your browser and our website. It speeds up the site and blocks attacks and spam. To do this, it processes your IP address and the other details of each request. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Resend delivers the emails this website sends. When you send a form, we receive an email notice with what you wrote, and that email passes through Resend. Emails we send to you from this website also go through Resend. Resend receives the email addresses and the content of those emails. See Resend's privacy policy.
- Google receives your IP address and browser details only if you click "Show map" on our Contact page. The map does not load until you click. See Google's privacy policy.
- When the law requires it: we may share information if a law, court order or government authority requires it, or to protect our rights, our property or the safety of others.
- If the business changes hands: if McLean Construction LLC is sold, merged or reorganized, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep using it as this policy describes.
Our service providers may use your information only to provide their service to us.

We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Because the cookies above are needed for the site to work and stay secure, we do not show a cookie banner.
If you click "Show map" on our Contact page, Google may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy. We do not control those cookies. If you do not click the button, nothing is loaded from Google. We do not remember your choice, so the map stays off on your next visit.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the mclean_sid cookie, our forms will not work, but you can still call or email us.
Job applicants
When you apply for a job, your application is saved in our website's database, and your resume is stored in a private folder on our hosting provider's server. That folder cannot be reached from the internet. Only our staff with full administrator access can read applications and download resumes, and they use them only to fill positions.
We keep applications and resumes for 12 months after we receive them, so we can consider you for other openings. They are then deleted automatically. If we hire you, we keep your application with your employment records.
You can ask us to delete your application at any time by emailing info@mcleanconstructions.com. We will delete it and confirm by email.
How long we keep information

We may keep information longer if we need it for a legal claim or if the law requires it.
How we protect information
We take reasonable steps to protect your information:
- The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- The staff area needs an individual account and password. Accounts sign out automatically after a period of inactivity, and repeated failed sign-in attempts are blocked.
- Staff have different access levels. Only full administrators can see messages and resumes.
- Resumes and other private files are kept in folders that cannot be reached from the internet.
- Forms are protected against forged submissions and spam.
- Passwords are stored in hashed form, and keys for outside services are stored encrypted.
No website can be made completely secure, so we cannot promise that information sent over the internet will never be intercepted. If a security breach affects your information, we will tell you when the law requires us to.
Emails from us
We only email you about something you contacted us about, such as your message, your quote or your job application, or about a project you have with us. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails from this website.
We have not turned on open tracking or link tracking for the emails we send.
If you do not want to hear from us again, reply to any of our emails or write to info@mcleanconstructions.com, and we will stop.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy,
- correct information that is wrong,
- delete your information.

Tell us which form you used and roughly when, so we can find your information. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on a request. We do not charge for requests, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to sort out the problem. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). In the EEA, it is the authority in the country where you live or work, or where you think the problem happened. The European Data Protection Board keeps a list of these authorities.
Children's privacy
This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website links to other websites, such as our social media pages and Google Maps. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
